Sustainable, not free forever for everyone.
Hosting redirects, screening destinations against Safe Browsing, sending email, and storing click data all have a real, ongoing cost. Quick links stay free because they're what most people need once. Pro exists so the people who rely on cutdown.link for ongoing campaigns fund the parts of the service that make it reliable for everyone.
No data bargain
Paid or free, we don't sell personal data.
We process account, redirect, click, and security information needed to operate and protect the product - on Free or Pro. Essential first-party measurement helps us improve reliability; optional Google measurement loads only after permission. The Privacy Policy explains the details.
A practical promise
Printed links need continuity.
We aim to operate cutdown.link responsibly and keep active links working, on Free and Pro alike. It remains without a paid uptime guarantee, so it should not be the only route to emergency, legally required, or irreplaceable information.
Pricing questions
- What happens after my first free Pro year?
- Your account keeps working. Pro renews at $99/year starting your second year. We don't have billing set up yet, so nothing is charged automatically - we'll email you before your second year starts to explain how renewal works.
- Is the $99/year price locked in?
- The launch price is $99/year. If that ever changes for existing Pro accounts, we'll say so plainly, ahead of time, rather than changing it quietly.
- Will my existing links or QR codes stop working?
- No. Every short link and QR code you've already created keeps redirecting exactly as it does today, regardless of plan.
- Does the Free plan expire?
- No. Quick links and free accounts are free for as long as we operate the service - Free is not a trial.
- Do I need to do anything to get the first free Pro year?
- No. Every account - new or existing - is automatically enrolled. There is nothing to activate and no card to add.
