Abuse Policy

To protect visitors and the service, we maintain an Abuse Policy. This policy explains the types of domains and content that are automatically blocked or may be restricted from use with our link shortening service.

Automatically Blacklisted Content

You may not create or distribute shortened links that point to:
These examples are not exhaustive. Content or activity that is unlawful, deceptive, harmful, or creates a material risk to visitors or the service may also be restricted.
  • Phishing Sites
    Websites designed to trick users into revealing personal, financial, or sensitive information.
  • Malware & Harmful Code
    Sites that distribute viruses, trojans, spyware, ransomware, or other malicious software.
  • Spam & Bulk Messaging
    Links intended for unsolicited bulk email, SMS, or social spam.
  • Illegal or Harmful Content
    Child exploitation, hate speech, incitement to violence, counterfeit goods, or content illegal under applicable law.
  • Copyright-Infringing Content
    Pirated software, movies, music, or any material violating intellectual property rights.

Redirect and Cloaking Restrictions

For security and transparency, the following are prohibited:
  • Links pointing to other link shorteners, cloaking, or redirection services (e.g., chaining redirects to conceal the final destination).
  • Links that mask the true intent or destination in a way that deceives users.

How We Handle Suspicious Links

We screen destinations when links are created or edited and periodically rescan active links. Checks use our blocklist, Google Safe Browsing, and abuse reports. If a screening provider is unavailable, a check can be delayed or missed. If a link is classified as malicious, it will not reach its destination: anyone who clicks it lands on a clear warning page explaining why the link was blocked.
  • If a destination is flagged as suspicious, the shortened link will stop redirecting. Instead, visitors see a clear warning page explaining that the destination was flagged, and are advised not to proceed.
  • This applies automatically and without prior notice to the link's creator.
  • We cannot guarantee that screening catches every unsafe destination, and a link not being flagged is not a guarantee of safety.

Enforcement

  • Any attempt to create blacklisted links will be blocked automatically.
  • Links already created that violate this policy may be disabled or deleted at our discretion, without prior notice.
  • Repeat offenders may have their accounts suspended or terminated.
  • Serious violations may be reported to relevant authorities.
